Finally my new logo is finished…

I've just finished designing my new identity and also changed the name of my company. As from now ".SD design concepts" is know as "simple design concepts".

The logo includes 3 letters (SCD). It should be SDC, but due to the letter structure, I've decided to leave as it is. The main aim of the design is to keep it abstract, but at the same time leave a recognition factor. Why "simple design concepts"? I'm a fan of simplicity and believe with little you obtain the most.

HOW TO - design a sustainable laptop support from an IKEA NOT floor lamp packaging

This is really not a HOWTO, because it is a result of a spontaneous act. After a whole afternoon of shopping at the famous IKEA…*phew*…my wife and I drove back home and started unpacking the stuff for our new apartment. You know what I mean... unpack…assemble…unpack…assemble and after, getting rid of all the unnecessary packaging. I was just about to throw the packaging for the cheap, but yet fancy IKEA NOT floor lamp *hehe*…but then an idea hit me, "why not recycle and design a carton laptop support? I've always wanted to buy an original Aluminium support similar to the inclinepro, but the price has always been an issue and I've always asked myself, is it really relevant? Why not upgrade your RAM instead? Which I did… *hehe*. To cut the story short, once thought and done. It didn't take me more than half an hour and my home-made carton laptop support was good to go!
